Accessibility Statement

Danny's BBQ Head Quarters wants this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, or a magnified display.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard is met and some parts have not yet been independently verified. It has been checked by hand and by automated measurement, but not audited by a third party or tested with every assistive technology.
What is in place
- A skip-to-content link as the first item on every page.
- Every control reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text contrast measured against its background: at least 4.5:1 for body text, and the brand red is lightened where it sits on dark.
- Form fields with visible labels, and confirmations and errors announced to screen readers.
- Headings in order, one per page level, and proper landmarks (navigation, main, footer).
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Animation that respects the "reduce motion" setting on your device, and a review rotator that stops when you hover or tab into it.
- Page content that reflows to a phone screen without sideways scrolling.
Known limitations
- The food photography on the home page is set as background imagery, so it is not described to a screen reader. The text beside each photo carries the meaning.
- The site has not been tested on a physical phone with VoiceOver or TalkBack, only in simulation.
- We have not had an independent accessibility audit.
